Rove Said What?

Karl Rove's stomach must have been churning as he gave his projection that Sen. Barack Obama would win the Presidential election (were Americans to vote now) one month prior to the actual election day.

However, he is careful to note that this race is still close. I wonder why he would admit such information to the public? Most notable political figures would do their absolute best to spin a political situation to the advantage of their supporting party. Is he saying this as wake up call to the McCain campaign? Does he think that they should seek his help in the final hour?

(Rove.com)

On Rove.com, the master mind behind the George W. Bush campaign, writes "39 new state polls released in the first three days of October have given Barack Obama his first lead over the magic number of 270 since mid-July."

I don't get it. Are we now supposed to take Rove's political analysis seriously? This is not to say that he cannot produce valuable insight. But, I am still left wondering what his hidden agenda is. He must have one right?

Maybe Rove is trying to scare up McCain support by saying, HEY! LOOK! This guy is going to win! And then people will flock to the polls to make sure it does not happen?

I think it is a cry to voters that McCain doesn't have that cushy lead anymore. He was probably warning people. He always has something much deeper going on than what meets the eye.
